Flakiness: A 100-Word, Study Break Post

The skin on my fingertips is peeling off. I’ve been reading a lot of abnormal psychology lit. Mix the two, and what do you get? Psychosomatic leprosy.

I expressed this hypothesis to my friend Wynne. Her response: “I think you have dry skin.”

For future reference -- displaying your dry skin to classmates isn’t the best “getting to know you” technique.

“What do you think of Charlottesville so far?” offered a ponytailed guy in Developmental Psychopathology.

“Crazy! See my fingers?”

I knew that wouldn’t fly, even in a psychopathology class. Self-destructive antisocial tendencies? Suddenly, the fingertips aren’t looking so bad.

And So It Begins... Elements 4 Windows Only
This week we learned those rumors were true. I can't speak for Adobe or anyone else, but my guess is that Apple's homegrown products, such as iPhoto 5, don't set very well with Adobe strategists -- something ...

It's okay. Today, I think I admitted my, uh, clandestine reading activity to my children's lit groupmates. Peeling finger skin is nothing comparatively. I hope the reading is reduced so that you can get your finger skin back. -A

I think my peeling fingers would like "Kavalier and Clay" much better than the psychopathology textbook. That's my justification.

The little trashcan icon has disappeared, so I can't erase the spam. Foiled again! It wouldn't be so bad without the insincere compliments. And the little smiley face, cruel.

Hey, you have a really funny blog. I especially liked the part about [archivequery::topic-tag-A1] and [archivequery::topic-tag-A2]. I will totally come back for more updates.

I have a website too! It features the inside scoop about personal enhancement products, affordable pharmaceuticals, and easy-to-obtain money from deposed African heads of state! Come see it at!

Fake comment spam aside -- Kavalier and Clay rocked. Oh, if only I could have taught books like that in English class.

I told a guy once my fingertips were peeling and he said, "Fingertips peeling? My fingeertips peel every spring. Fingertip peeling is nothing. Nothing."
I apologized for bringing it up.

I dunno...if we'd read K&C we might have booted Ethan Frome, and poor Ethan needed all the attention he could get.

I'd take fingertip peeling to foot stubbing, but foot stubbing isn't as noteworthy...or psychosomatic.
